Figured I would make the first post here. Got my new backing plate today! It is the "final" design that has the foam in between the velcro and plastic backing plate. It's 5.5" in diameter and of course the 5.5" pads I have barely fit with no overhang for any protection. I wish I could have gotten one of the interim 5" bp's but I really like this one. Guess I'll have to order more 6" Sonus pads from eShine
. Anybody else received their new 5.5" bp? I will be using it for the first time Thursday and will report back how it does.
Anybody want to get rid of their interim 5" plate they may have gotten? If you do just PM me! I think I'm going to call Powerhouse and see what the chances are of getting one of those 5" bps so I'll have 3 different ones. The new plate looks like a really great design so I may just unload all the almost new 5.5" pads I have and get more 6" and 6.5" ones!
