I was the original guinea pig for the Cyclo sanding system system, it was kinda my idea. While the system does work and is effective it's not for everyone as there is a learning curve....and for some it may be steep!
As mentioned the aggressive nature of the Cyclo may not seem like much when using foam pads but toss a few sanding discs on it and it's a whole new story. So to counter this I started using one orange pad plus a sanding disc instead of 2 sanding discs. This seems to counter or balance out the aggressive nature of the Cyclos pattern.
You'll also want to make sure you have the correct amount of lubrication. It can't be too wet nor too dry. I usually spritz the orange pad and use this as my source of lube for the disc. I also only use the 8000 and 12,000 discs, sometimes the 6000 but hardly ever the 4000.
