With a rotary, it will eliminate the need to hand or machine polish a car if it loses any shine from lets say polishing but not sealing or waxing in the harsh australian sun or any other place that gets really hot, humid and oxidation is a problem (florida, California etc)
up to 50 C in south aussie summer and bugger all ozone layer or protection due to wide open spaces means no wax or sealant on a car can be curtains for paintwork.
It brings back all of the lost shine and will enhance the gloss/colour/wetness as well
you get a slicker finish and added protection by rotary than if you apply with a towel and if you use it by orbital or rotary after every wash, the gloss gets higher and higher and after six months, the wetness will be insane.
So what you can do is do a correction, seal it all up and then after every wash or once every month, two or three, apply with the rotary and watch the paint get richer, wetter, deeper, clearer
A porter cable would be just as good though
