After you washed, you should have clayed then washed or wiped down with a QDer.
KAIO and KSG shouldn't be applied by the book. The Wipe-On-Wipe-Off (WOWO) method worked the best for me.
Don't be discouraged by the KSG. If you apply it by WOWO method, you'll get the nice thin coat that's best for multiple layers and bulletproof protection. My
KAIO + KSG combo lasted almost 12 months with washings followed by a QD (and sometimes a nuba) at least once a month.
Top KSG with a 'nuba for more depth and warmth.
