I would say almost brand new cars have swirl marks and scratches filled. How do i know? I know a person who does touch up paint and PDR(paintess dent removal) who works for numerous dealers such as BMW, mercedes and such. They come to the port or sometimes at the dealer. The easiest way to find out is take your car under the bright sun and youll find them there..
.......Your first statement above with JS109 and BLITZ is a good combo. If the swirl marks doesnt bother you, you can hide them with GLAZE products. Polishing is preference but it will bring a good shine and gloss. So before you apply JS109, like mentioned above:
-foam the car
-rinse
-2 bucket method with wash mit
-inspect the car for bugs and tars and clay and lube and dry
-If the claying part gets messy and dirty, you need to wash the whole car
-spray the entire car with water spot remover(DURAGLOSS sells it)
-apply JS109 via foam applicator let it haze 5-15 min. and buff with MF towel
-Apply blitz wax via foam applicator or MF applicator, let it haze and buff.
I like Blitz wax because of its durability and ease of use. I used mine and it last 4-5 months.
