I have and have used both of these waxes quite extensively, the only one I will buy again is Concourso because it is the only one for me which delivers a little something extra over the cheaper waxes on the market - and that is an additional small wettness to the finish. Its durability is good too, beading is quite loose with one layer but tightens with two - beading isn't the be all and end all though, and is not indicative of good protection or not.
Concours leaves a silvery bling nuance - its reflective, and this is its appeal, but its only a very very slight nuance at the end of the day, as with all waxes... Its good, beads very tightly at the start as well which can appeal. But I found its winter durability here in Scotland to be somewhat poor which surprised me for a wax of its value. Something like Collinite 476 would have served much better - lasted longer with looks pretty muc just as good if the prep is spot on.  |
That is the tie breaker for me.
I am looking for that warm earthy greenish silvery hue(say that fast a few times), I have steel-grey and platinum grey color cars, with Lusso, CG5050, P21S, Pinnacle I was surprise to see that under the sun my cars will look purplish and "bright" not so with vintage. I know it sounds crazy and I kept telling myself I must be seeing things but I'll try Zymol concours soon since I still have my reference point ( less than 2 oz vintage left from my last SKSK1 kit).
Actually I like wax that hard to apply, thinking it must have that pure white carnuaba.
