i don't disagree with the others when saying give it a shot ,but rarely do things like this work out..i understand the 3M BP might be a bit high in price for your liking but the cost of a repaint would be a lot more money...
get your self a decent BP until you can afford a 3M bp if thats what you want..be smart,be safe ,not sorry..what ever you decide good luck
