Default Detailing decals ?

My pop calls me the other day ,and says he needs me to come see him this weekend, Long story short we end up at the garage. He tells me he wants his car to stand out from the crowd. So of course I say yes Its dad you know. I think im in too deep ! The car has sat for 2 years awaiting a transmission transplant. My question is how do you buff decals ? Im sure its the same as a speed boat. What should I be carfull of when encountering a decal with my Makita? , and the front wheels what is that, anodized? I have to polish all aluminum also. What polish do you recomend? Have you heard of wenol aluminum polish? I will post after pics, but here is the before.

Any input would be great !!

I personally detail the decals just like I do with the paint of the vehicle. I hold back on the pressure though and just use the weight of the machine, I don't like using aggressive polish though so I tend to keep it to a minimum grade type of polish.

Looks like a nice vehicle and the colour looks good, well just my

Polishing over the decals is fine, I have done hundreds of cars like this without any problems. Like Nica said just use light pressure over the stickers.

For those of you that have polished over decals, do you go back over them with a microfiber to remove any remaining polish/residue that has got caught around the outlines of the decals?

yes, usually if there is any polish residue left over around the edges I take care of it during the final wipe down, I've been using Menzerna Top Inspection (I think that's the exact name ) Some times the polish dosent want to come off easy but I just keep applying aplying Top Inspection and for me most part it gets the job done.

He uses AA speed, and Cheeks, but has buisness accounts with everyone from PA to SC. I think im going to do the whole car with my P/C. The 3M red pad can be pretty aggressive with the right polish as the paint dosent need any major correction. I just need to polish to bring the shine, and reflection back.
