Default Mr. Glanz meet my new GMC Acadia!

Friday evening, lil' momma and I took delivery of our new '09 GMC Acadia SLT-2. It's carbon black metallic with black leather interior and pretty much fully boated. We were initially looking at a deep blue metallic one at my buddy's dealership, but decided against it. I washed (ONR) the blue one in my garage last Monday and noticed a real bad scratch on the hood that I don't think polishing would've taken care of. So, i told him not go on the blue. We did find the black one locally and he did a dealer trade for me. The flake on it is tremendous in full sunlight.

I decided against doing a full polish initially on it, and just spot polished a few areas to clean a few things up and applied some 1z Glanz Wax using Flex 3401 and red Erasure pad. Here's a few shots all cleaned up:

Also, used Adam's car wash, P21s TAW for tires and wheel wells, and P21s wheel gel on exterior. Cleaned / conditioned leather using 1z Leather Cleaner/Conditioner. Did interior trim using 1z Cockpit Premium. Side steps and tailpipes using P21 Finish Restorer. Sealed wheels and tailpipes using Rejex. And, of course, returned to 1z Glanz Wax for my sealant. Probably put some Collinite's 845 or 476 on it before full winter hits.

So far, we absolutely love this thing!!! Took it on it's maiden voyage to Costco yesterday. Ended up picking up an office chair for my dad along with all our other crap, and the Acadia swallowed everything no problem. The ride is nice and smooth, limited body roll, fit and finish is very nice (not quite up to Audi standards, but getting there), and I could just keep going. Really nice vehicle so far. Anyway, wanted to share.

i initially hated 1z glanz wax, but after using on my dark colored truck, im in love...it has more of a reflective look in my opinion, rather than a warm, nuba glow. But nice vehicle and excellent detail!

Congrats on the new car. I suggest getting some 303 fabric gurad and protecting your carpets. I have black interrior in my yukon and the carpets look more grey now.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone. Of course, I took it to work today and had to cut through a subdivision with some street construction. The rear end is all dusty now. Then, I'm at Best Buy during lunch with some buddies and the smack-ass cutting the grass uses his leaf blower to blow grass clippings and dirt all over it. I got out and gave him some choice words. No respect...

Congrats on the new vehicle! What is that that you're sitting on? I think I need one of those for when I do SUV's because I'm way too short, haha.
