Default Just bought my first PC 7424

just picked it up about an hour ago. first polisher like it. always either been polishing and waxing by hand or used a cheap murrays orbital. i couldent take it anymore it work on an area with one of those for like 20 mins and i think honestly it looks the same before i did anything. finally found a place that sells it retail than ordered it online. payed $120 USD for it. still dying to use it on my benz. any suggestions for a PC noob? when i start working with it ill have plenty of pictures for the site. we have 9 cars. so im going to have alot of work ahed of me. should be fun. just one white car thats going to be boring.

Congrats on your first step!

PC is an awesome tool, and when used properly can really show some great results. Additionally, it's really hard to mess anything up with it.

Only down side, is with 9 cars, you'r arms are going to fall off from the excessive vibration...

There's a ton of good articles about how to use the PC, and generic machine polishing. There are some great videos here, detailersdomain, autogeek, and just on youtube!

Default lol

i can assure the 9 cars wont be done in a day. at that even a week. i prefer to take my time with things make it count if you know what i mean. as for arms falling off thats already happened plenty of times. im a frequent range goer. about 4 times a week average of 6000 rounds a month. my arms and hands are permantly numb. lol. im sure ill be alright with it. im glad to hear it a good tool. but a tool is nothing great unless the operator knows what he is doing with it lol.

  1. get the proper supplies, polish, pads, pad cleaner, etc
  2. look at the how to youTube videos
  3. patience: take your time, work small areas no bigger then 12x12

enjoy your polisher. If you are patient, you'll get some great results with the PC. If you need more power, keep the Flex in mind. I did the PC --> Flex upgrade a few weeks ago and there is a noticable improvement.

PC is a great tool though --
