Can`t agree more! Paul is superb!!

I've tried CG products side by side to their private label counterparts, and there has been little to NO difference b/w them. Spend your money wisely...

in CG's defense they go give their private lables the ability to alter the compound.

unfortunately adams, jorgens, poorboys etc do not employ a private chemist to be able to, and if they did, they would have no use for CG.

Agreed. Wasn't bashing CG, just stating my observations of CG v. some of the private labels. I have a feeling that perhaps some of the formulations changed after the big hoopla @ Autopia a year or two ago.

I do not think you need a chemist. I am sure they have a chemist you work with to tailor formulas. I would assume it is about cost...For ex. you can use a std formula for one price or use a custom formula for a higher price or larger minimum order quantities. I do not know about exclusivity to formulas but CG gets to learn and use for the future.

From what I have seen. in the 16 oz sizes, CG does not seem to sell lower than than anyone else. It is in the larger sizes you start to see price differentiation.

There can be a reason for this. Finding a chemist is easy; finding a chemist who can produce a quality car care product is not. Just being a chemist does not give the ability to make anything in the world yet be competitive with companies who specialize in automotive waxes. I am an Engineer and specialize in Mechtronix/Robotics, I am very good at it, on the flipside I am not very good in other aspects of my field such as electrical design…I CAN design an electrical panel but have some fire extinguishers ready. I am also sure there are guys out there who make great wax products who are not chemists, just hobbyists. I too have been looking at making our own products, Even if I found a good chemist the chances of us saying “Make us a great Carnauba car wax” and actually have him/her come up with a competitive wax is highly unlikely. Most chemists that specialize in car care products are unfortunately for us working full time for another company and already produce good products. It leaves a small company like us one option, private label or go broke trying to come up with a competitive product from scratch.

most chemists who know anything about polymere and natural sciences can build a a good carnauba wax, its quite simple actually But you get what you pay for with ingredients

hehe...man theres always a debate about which product is made by who...

anyways...i think they are the same,

VRT is really a flat/matte look...and it is water based..so it would easily wash off. It isn't meant to be high gloss!
