Question Chemical Guys price waxes' increase?

I was looking on thei website and noticed that Pete's 53 is now $53, and 5050 is now $68.92?
They increased price by $20! That's rediculous! I was thinking of MAYBE some Pete's 53 down the road, for it's tight beading, but not anymore! They still have a kit with 5050/Jetseal/and those cute looking blue towels with red edges for $78 a kit and free shipping...
hmmm...

Man that is a big price change! The kit would be a WAY better bargin!! Those Fluffer towels are nice. Really fluffy!

Give some of Justin's Wet Obsession a try. $45 if you pre-order it now. You'll be happy with it!!!

I cant figure out why they did it. I am starting to wonder if a lot of their products were "entry prices" before they got enough distributors to help get the name spread. As bad as it sounds its great for all of the distributors because we can offer a product for less then the warehouse.

Ive got 4 cans of 5050 left

It did say that most of their prices were "intro" prices but I never knew that they would actually hike them up to "regular" prices.

I have tried quite a few waxes and nothing compares to Pete's '53 as far as incredible beading goes. I guess since the price has gone up, I'll be a bit more sparce when using it!!!

MFG costs or greed (same with oil prices)? Now that CG products are kind of popular a price increase would result in a lot more revenues from loyal customers. $37 -> $53 = 70% increase.

you could use gas/diesel as an excuse if the price increase was across the board...but
the majority of the increase seems to be on products that are widely used and hyped on detailing forums..and $278.00 for a gallon of jetseal

Paul had been saying that CG waxes have been under priced since the beginning and that they were disregarded as "top tier" waxes simply because of price.

Get ur 5050 now, just a warning

I think it would have been better if they cut back giving out samples and upgrading 16oz to gallons instead of a price increase. But what do I care, I don't use CG products, I'm just thinking of this from a business perspective.
