My A6 has had to sit outside a lot lately due to a garage remodel I'm doing. We've had A LOT of rain lately in STL, and water still beads extremely well on it. It's extremely slick as well. Looks are hard to determine since it's a champagne colored car, but my #1 priority is always protection over all else.

collinite waxes are by far the most durable.
