I was doing some research on rotary and found this forum...
I am a relatively new detailer in the bay area and was inspired by Phil, FMINUS and DetailersDomain. I've been using PC for the last couple of months and already hitting the ceiling with it and looking to move to a rotary ASAP.I have been using the 'search button' a lot, trying to research on the rotary but still pretty inconclusive... After I am done with that research I'll be looking for a PTG as well...Looking forward chatting with you detail experts! Leo |

Welcome to Detailing Bliss DetailAddict
![]() If your looking for some information on rotary, you can find some videos here that hopefully will help you out: Rotary videos - Detailing Bliss Forum If you don't find the information your after, dont' be shy, ask your question there are no silly questions around here. Just remember if you don't ask you'll never know, so that's why I encourage to ask as many questions as it will take to help you out. Detailing can seem overwhelming but really it's not, it just takes a bit of time to read and best of all trial and error Look forward on seeing you around, hope you enjoy the forum ![]() |

thanks for all the welcome and thanks for the link Nica!
i find detailing to be fun, i guess that's why I am doing it. ![]() I saw those video links before, but they are kind of big for me to download at work and have been meaning to download them at home and watch. I just hooked up my PC to my TV, so I'll download it and watch it on the big screen tonight. ![]() I'll post in the appropriate forum later, but it looks like I am down to Metabo and Makita. So far I am leaning towards Makita simply because of the price.... Not sure if it's a wise decision or not... We'll see... But seems like most have 2 or more rotary (like Nica and FMINUS), so might not be a bad idea to pick up a Makita now and Metabo later. ![]() |

but hopefully soon members wont have to put up with the large files and the lengthy down load time that curently comes with viewing the videos...just working the final bugs, I just hope it works .As for the Makita and Metabo, you really wont go wrong with either one of them. It's nice having a back up machine but like you said you can start with one and then work your way up...besides detailing can be an expensive hoby ![]() |

haha... no biggie... i actually prefer them in large format for better quality.
![]() it looks like Makita is available at my local home depot or ace hardware stores... I might swing by to see it in person before I order... but most likely I will break the bank tonight. ![]() Quote:
