Hi Folks,

My name is Chris and i have just joined the site.

I have been into detailing my cars for a years but never that seriously. My latest car a MK2 997 Carrera 2S arrived a few weeks ago. The car is plane black and i have just had it detailed by a pro in the UK. He spent 12 hours correcting and detailing the car. He finished off by using Z**ol royal wax on it. THe car looks great....

I think from now on i will detail it myself, As i have the polishing machine and most of the products he used..

My first question is, i am looking to buy some new wax possibly Crystal Rock. Can i top this wax up on top of the Royal ? I don't want to strip that wax off and use the Crystal yet, but i wil want to periodically top the wax up....

Welcome aboard Chris. Can't wait to see some pics of the car, I assume thats it in your avatar. As far as topping the Royale I don't think it would be a problem but if it were me and had just paid to have Royale put on my car I would wait for the wax to degrade and lose some of its lustre and durability before topping it. Also if it has been through paint correction then in a few months you should just be able to use a strong soap and strip off whatever wax was remaining and put on a few fresh coats of CR.
