Default hi everyone!

new to detailing but ready to learn, i was referred here by my brother. just had a quick question though. my car, an old 1990 acura integra that has been cheaply repainted by 1-day paint & body, to the best of my knowledge does not have a clear coat. is a wax my best/only option? and thanks for any help!

Welcome to Detailing Bliss klm

Now first of all Integras are one sweet vehicles, I owned an RSX Type S a few years back and wished I kept it but even now I still like the shape of the Integras.....any who regarding your question, you can use sealants as well. I personaly love wax but just becuase it has no clear coat dosen't meant you are limited to what you can put on your vehicle for protection....but that's just my opinion.

Just curious what wax are you using?

well, i'm a total noob but i was going to use the wax i already have in my garage, which is Meguiar's Gold Class Liquid Wax. What do you think about it? I think my bro and I are going to get Menzerna brand stuff later.

I guess what I was asking, is that there is no point/impossible for me to use a polish since I don't have a clear coat, correct?

Thanks for the reply!

You can polish single stage paint. If you have no clear coat because the shop did single stage paint then you can do the same things to it that you do to a car with base coat/clear coat.
