Default Hi, My name is Jerry and I'm a car fanatic

Hi, my name is Jerry and I'm a car fanatic. I recently started working at a BMW Dealership in the Detail Department. So far my supervisor is teaching me the basics of washing cars and light polishing with a buffer. I'm trying to learn as much as possible in the detailing business so i can do it as a side job and also to better myself by knowing that my car is being well maintained and that i know what i'm doing. I have a lot of questions to ask about products and also what is wrong and what is right to use on a car. To be honest at the dealership i work at I'm not sure is dewalt the right buffer to be using? Or should I use another type of buffer to buff things out. Plus I'm tryin to learn how to using different types of compounds and also cutting the paint when it needs it. I hope to learn a lot of this place.

Welcome Jerry! We always read the horror stories of bad detail and prep work coming from dealerships, it's good to see someone wanting to actively learn how to do it right!
