Thanks everyone - feelin the luv!

As much as I love SF (actually SF native) I still can't fathom why tourist attractions are so damn expensive - last I heard it's like $50 to go see Alcatraz? Maybe I'm feeling my age, but I remember going on a field trip, and it wasn't more than $10.

Howdy fellow SF'er, welcome to DB!

I think SF attractions are so expensive because the State and City get a lot of revenue from tourism. I think they are also raising the Golden Gate Bridge to up to $8 (currently $5) . That sucks if you work across the bridge everyday.

The only benefit I can see from that is it's tax deductible!
