Default New to the Forum

Hello everyone,

My name is Janice and I'm a grad student at the University of Calgary. I drive a black Mazda MX3 which needs a lot of work! I am new to detailing and don't know a lot other than not to use the foamy brush at the car wash. I look forward to reading up on some good advice on how to take better care of my car. Thanks to Calgarydetail and sneek for the invite!

I only joined a few days ago so I can't be called a stalker yet

Thanks for hosting the link so everyone can see the sorry state my car was in 2 years ago. She's in about the same condition now. Steve did an amazing job! I can't wait to see my car sparkle like that again.

Welcome to Detailing Bliss JGAL

Nice vehicle you got there, question for you...will you be doing your own detailing? I hope so it's so much fun...besides you'll have access to many products, tools, tips and tricks with Calgarydetail and sneek

That and you got the rest of the forum to help you out

Hope you enjoy the forum.

Well I wouldn't call the quality of how I clean and take care of my car 'detailing'...but I try to do a good job everytime. She needs a polish really badly and I'm not sure if I can do it myself. I tried to do it by hand once and spent 4 hours on my hood, which still had swirls. I will likely rope either Calgarydetail or sneek into helping me with that. I know those two can help me out; anyone that has like 40 different waxes probably knows what they're talking about lol.

Thanks for the welcome

I used to be like you and did everythin by hand but I've seen the light and I use a rotary now. But to be honest if you want perfection you have to take your time, nice and slow inpsecting your work. Why don't you give it a try and have Calgarydetail and sneek be there to help you out...the end results are so rewarding if your willing to comit your self to it

Oh and those two know a thing or two about detailing
