Default Newbie Chick who loves to detail..

hi everyone..

im here b/c of the infamous fminus. Ive been detailing my cars for a few years now...im not as hardcore as most, but i think im getting there. =) just seeing the beautiful work that phil has done in his post just makes me speechless. to see someone do such awesome work makes me see that it is possible to make look perfect. so just this past 2 weeks ive spent a few hundred just one products that ive read here on the forum. ive been a zaino user for years but it doesnt take out all of the swirls and imperfections. so w/ phil recommendation, i got some of the menzerna and i love it. i just made a mistake and didnt order the nano in the same order so i have to wait till that comes in a few days..=(

but other than that..everything is in line and it should look great. i want to thanks u guys for all the info ive gotten on here..its been so helpful!
i have 2 black lexus' and so ive got to keep in the tip top shape. i hear that the paint is soft...so i dont know if thats a good thing or not...

thanks a bunch!

lisalisa

First of all, welcome Lisa. I have a Lexus also and yes, the cc/paint is super soft, which makes it super easy to correct. However, it is also easier to induce swirl marks through improper washing and drying techniques, so you have to be ultra careful. On my Lexus, I only use the Sonus SFX 2 and 3 polishes as these work great on soft paint and won't leave any marring or hazing, won't grad onto the paint, and it won't create a lot of dust. However, Menzerna 106ff (nano) with an LC white pad should do the job as well and it is fantastic.

BTW, which Lexus do you own? You might want to check this out: Lexus Owners Club (USA & Canada) (Powered by Invision Power Board)
