President Bush has devised a plan to kick start the American economy by having tax refund checks mailed to everyone who files a tax return. We are urged to go and freely spend this money, and the result will have a ripple effect on the American economy.

If we buy consumer goods, the money will go to China, where just about everything we see in our stores is manufactured. If we use the check to buy a couple of tanks of gasoline, the money will go to the Arabs.

Drinking beer and patronizing prostitutes seems to be the patriotic way to spend the money since brewing and screwing are about the only industries that still remain on American soil.
