Well where I work and where I live, Birds droppings and Sap love to fall on my car. I believe one on the window and trim is bird droppings, and what would be the best way to get it off. I tried to use a quick detailer on it, but no luck.
Also I used a MF to wipe up some sap, how should I wash it? I'm not going to just throw one MF towel in the washing machine and use all that water just for one. What do you suggest? Also picture 5 is just what I'm against with on the rest of the car ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Any help would be appreciated! |

I've had great success of removing bird bombs with my normal traditional wash.
As for your MF, I'd just wait until you have enough dirty MFs to do a load in the washer. |

Thanks guys! Yeah, I keep QD and an MF in my car now after coming to this site.
Is a compound fine on the rubber trim? And if so, any recommendations? Last edited by sumdetailer; 07-22-2008 at 06:13 AM. |

Too heavy for rubber trim, you could try some Diamondite or wolfgang lense compound for plastics, of even plexis may work depending on the condition. I wouldn't go much farther than a polish for plartic, start with a finishing and work your way down until you find something that works.

I would pick up some real cheap mf like from CG for this type of duty. This way, if they get screwed up you can toss them and not be losing a lot of money. You can get cheap mf's for a buck or two a piece. I use them for cleaning wheels and stuff like you mentioned. When they are too dirty and don't come clean I toss them.

wow...lets work on those swirls and forget about the sap stains.
well like one member said you need to compound, polish, and finish. where are you located because I think you'd be SO happy if you let a professional do a full paint correction on that 3 series. swirls would be gone as well as spots and stains...paint will look new and you have a sweet coat of wax too! you need to NOT wipe with a MF if it is dry because unless you JUST washed it ibecause t will put swirls in the clearcoat because it will rub the surface dirt and dust right into the clearcoat. just wash your car once a week, and stop paring under trees. Its work and effort, but then again so is anything that you ACHIEVE (such as a nice paint finish) |
