What is the solvent base in tarminator? I use lacquer thinner, cheap, and very effective.

This is what I use on the tough stuff. It is approx. $20 a gal. and has multiple uses. For light to moderate tar I use plain mineral spirits. I always follow up any chemical wipe down with a strong wash with APC degreaser to remove all traces of the chemical.

Try Aquasol, wax and grease remover, it may work, I haven't tried it but I will

I actually have tried this stuff and it does work amazingly well. However, this is something you want to keep from inhaling as it is definitely not good for your health.

I use CG Grime Reaper and Turtle Wax, i am very happy with the results.

3M's Adhesive & Wax Remover (in an aerosol can) is good stuff
