I haven't used it yet but I bet you are going to get a lot of P21S Wheel Gel responses. I hear and have seen on various posts on here that it works very well and is very safe.

I suggest you take the wheels off! They look especially dirty around the lug nuts! It is going to be difficult to to get that area clean unless you remove them. Always start with the least aggressive product you have first. One of the most aggressive products that I have used is Amazing Roll off. I have found it do an excellent job!
Once you get them clean make sure you protect them with a wheel glaze or whatever product you have. It will make cleaning a lot easier going forward.
Best of luck!
Be sure to post some after shots!

I would also recomend P21S Wheel Gel forumula but I'd also recomend this brush, the EZ brush

This image came from Eshine

With this brush you'll be able to get all the way inside the rims and leave it spotless, you can use a MF towel a tooth brush well just about anything to agitate the P21S Gell on the face of the rims too.

But that's just my opinion. Hope it helps.

I have heard great things about the EZ Brush. I just got one yesterday! If you don't have the EZ brush I have use a Mr. Clean magic eraser. Just make sure you have as much loose dirt off as possible before you use the magic eraser. Additionally, don't use a lot of pressure let the cleaner do most of the work!
I would wait for some feedback from some other members. They might have some better suggestions.

Phil's Wheel Tutorial

The wheel write up.

Okay everyone here is a how to detail your wheels. I just got 4 new tires for my 20 inch BBS RS-GT's (Bridgestone RE050A's 255 30 20's)

Bought the tires from KMD Tuning (Mountainside, NJ) and got them mounted and balanced there earlier today. Props to Danny (the owner over there) apparently these were reversed lips and they were a royal pain!

Here are the products used:

3M adhesive remover

Plastic razor blade (to remove the adhesive from the weights)

3 buckets: one filled with soap and the other to rinse the wheels (it's about 25 degrees out tonight) and one to sit on []

P21S Wheel Cleaner Gel Formula

Boars Hair Brush

Sponges

P21S Polishing Soap

Adam's Metal Polish 2

Menzerna FMJ

Old Microfiber Towels (for buffing and drying the wheels)

Microfiber applicator pad

Procedure:

1. Here is what I did first sprayed them all down with P21S Wheel Cleaner Gel formula. I let them all soak in it while I was working on the first wheel.

2. Got the soap bucket and the boar's hair brush started the brush the dirt and grime off the wheel.

3. After that was done I used the 3m adhesive remover to get rid of the bug/tar/leftover brake dust/grime and adhesive from the weights.

4. Rinsed off the wheels with a sponge.

5. Dried them good.

6. Used the P21S Polishing Soap on the clean wheel to polish them up lips, inner

wheel, face of the wheel.

7. Rinsed them down again with a sponge.

8. Dried the wheel good.

9. Polished the lips with Adam's Metal Polish 2

10. Used the Menzerna FMJ to seal up the inner wheels, face of the wheel, and

lips.

11. Repeat on the rest of the wheels.

Before:

During:

Polishing:

After:

Elasped time: 2 hours 30 minutes (including set up and clean up time)

Enjoy!

That's where I learned how to clean rims to. Its a great process not a lot of wasted time either because you are letting the other rims soak in the gel as you clean the other rims. If that makes any sense. P21S wheel gel, a brush, and elbow grease should do the job, and if you need it the metal polish. You should look into some sealant or wheel wax as well to protect the rims. I would suggest some JS 109. They will be easier to clean in the future too.

Definitely use P21s Gel for the first cleaning. After that, apply a good sealant to them and just clean routinely with car soap. Id get the EZ brush for inside the wheel, then another brush/ sponge for the front of the wheel.
