Default Black streaking from door seals-?303?

A friend is having problems with streaking from rubber doors seals. I suggested that he try 303 but I wondered if anyone had any other recommendations.

I haven't seen it myself (friend from work) but the car is over 15 years old. The way he describes it, it streaks after it rains. I thought the 303 might act to "seal" it a bit. And at least it won't leave a residue. But if there are other/better products please make suggestions.

What has he used to clean them? Is there any dressing on them?

No, haven't been touched. I've given him some products for hand polishing and waxing and I've even got him doing ONR washes in his apartment parking lot. I think that's why he's starting to care about the black streaks!

I would imagine they are dirty and need to be cleaned before dressing...

Dressing dirty items will cause issues as you described

303 was a good suggestion. It has some light cleaning ability on its own.
