I currently use Griots polish system but its time to upgrade my collection. Im looking at menzera, clearkote moose waxes, sonus, or any other recommendations. Please recommend the particular products i need, finish polish, compound, or whatever else i need. thanks

You're going to get very diverse responses. IMO, you can never go wrong with Menzerna. For soft paint/cc (pretty much any Japanese car) I really like Sonus SFX 2 and 3. On my Lexus with ultra soft cc Sonus is the only polish I use. They do a great job of removing swirl marks without marring the paint or leaving a haze. Clearkote Carnauba Moose Wax is a great wax with excellent durability but it will mute the flakes on metallic paint. P21s100% is amazing, very clear, sharp, wet look and will make the flakes pop like crazy. Ultima PGP and Zaino are two great choices for sealants. Ultimately, the LSP is really a matter of personal choice, but what really matters is the prep work.

This may sound like a weak answer but I think it depends on what you're doing..what colour, paint condition, age, etc. For black, i like to use either SIP by Menzerna or UCCL by Presta with wool for correction if needed and followed by 106ff or 85rd. Either one of those is an absolute MUST!! If I'm doing black or metallic, I like to add a glaze stage to it. I've used RMG which is ok, just used CG WMF (like that a lot) and want to try Danase's WMG. For sealing in all that work, IMO, nothing beats DG. 601/105 followed by AW will blow you away with the proper preparation. Hope that helped.

what is everybody thoughts on Sonus polishes. i am using on gm cars. how does it compare to griots for those that have used it

As I mentioned above, I really like Sonus for soft cc/paint as it gets the job doen without inducing marring or leaving a haze. I also like the fact that it does not make it snow in your garage and it won't grab on to the paint. However, for hard paint like most GM Sonus might not be strong enough.
