Dude if you thought it would fill scratches and RIDS there is nothing that will do that, not even glazes. Heck I've even used the infamous "Product X" that you couldn't buy anymore that everyone claims fills better than anything but it won't fill scratches and RIDS. When most guys on HERE tell you it fills they mean that it hides the light surface marring you see on a lot of cars. Also when it fills it's not like it makes things disappear. All any product with filling abilities does is round the edges of the marring so that the light doesn't hit it so sharply anymore giving the illusion that it has diminished them. I think that the folks on here making the filling claims were under the impression that everyone knew that they were only talking about surface marring.

Nah I don't think it was really anyone in general Karl. I know you've praised about the masking abilities, but I don't see you being the only person doing so. If I believed everything everyone said about products, I would be $20k+ in debt. So I pick and choose based on numerous reviews. This wasn't targeted at you, or anyone. Just an announcement that I think some of us, including me, were a little mislead by exactly HOW MUCH it filled.

I dunno. I'm sure it is all in the technique, but I haven't gotten it to fill much of anything, and I know a few others who haven't as well. But I agree--whatever he did to that Rolls sure did work

I'm not trying to attack you or anyone else, JL.

I'm simply stating from the reactions of a few people (one in this thread) and another on another forum, there was a misunderstanding on what "filling" was as you stated. I didn't know WHAT to expect from the product, except that it "filled". I can see how it may fill wash marring, but that's it. It was supposed to be a friendly PSA to future BHAB owners.. not to attack anyone. Again,

Never took it as a personal attack bro I guess I was just surprised that there was such a wide disparity in what one thinks is filling ability.

Now I don't have a very good eye at spotting filling capabilities, but I here's this post from Team of Civinfo - Honda Civic Forum.

I think the question here is not wether it fills, as it clearly does, but rather HOW MUCH it fills. From the pics in the RRoyce write up, its evident that the damage is no worse than marring inflicted by improper wash technique. Auto Balm will take care of that easily. The RRover I posted had the same type of damage plus marring from the clay. The issue is wether or not not it will fill RDS, which it most certainly will not. I sure hope this clears things up for everyone.

thanks for this little write up. ken expressed the same to me on the phone yesterday, but regardless, i stil cant wait to try it out when it gets here. i bought it for its durability and how it looks on black and metallic cars. the filling capabilities are a plus, but not my main concern.
