Default Handwash...

trhland,

A have yet to see a handwash establishment that would meet our (detailers & detailing enthusiasts) expectations. This business is driven by high volume, and low wage employees. Think about the effort an employee will put in when the objective is to get as many cars in and out each day. As for the actual mitts they use, I doubt you will ever find an establishment that uses a clean washmitt for every vehicle they wash.

I would hate to be the guy with the Black 911 who is in line behind the Jeep that was just taken out on an off road excursion !!!

Too effectively hand wash each vehicle would be very costly, and the price of the handwash would be higher than most automobile owners would be willing to absorb (IMO).

What do they charge at your local handwash?

Just wait until your van becomes so swirly and scratched that it turns a different color lol

<--happened to me on my gold ES300. Went from light shade of gold to a dark shade with no reflection whatsoever . Thats why I bought my own stuff and turned it light gold again

just the other day i was driving to work and there is a hand wash on the way and they were drying a black 2008 cadillac. i could literally see the swirls being put in the car with each pass of the towel. i could not help but laugh. i work in detroit. and i think to myself. that guy the way the owner of the car looked, he was a dope dealer. so basically he has plenty of time in his day/week/month. to wash his own car. having a place like that wash your car does not make you more "important". it just shows that your intelligance is minimal since he cant figure out that his paint no longer looks like it did a month ago when he lease the thing. poor car.

12.00 for full service. includes had wash and vacume and windows. i payed 16 and went for the spray wax/ and tire dressing.i know the spray wax is just some speedglaze silicone but. thats ok the car needed a quick clean up . my wife couldnt care less. yes i gree with you dean . theses guys didnt look experenced at all. very slow and sloppy. the owner wasnt even there. but for 90 percent of the poeple who own cars they will think they do a fine job.
