How about any detailers in the 60's, 70's, or 80's? How about anybody in Europe or Switzerland that heard of the esteemed wax before the mid '90s. I'm not saying that didn't produce something, but much like Zymol (when you read Zymol marketing you would think that they have been around for ever, not less then 20 years) its hard to discreen anything. If my grandpa made wax in the fifties for candles, I guess I could say my family had been producing wax for 70 years.

Swissvax certainly didn't produce anyting worthy of note until recently and most of the European detailers I speak with never heard of Swissol/Swissvax until recently. I think the mystique and vintage feel created by their marketing is no more then hype. But then again when you pay 2g's for a wax that cost 5 dollars to make and bottle, it does help if you feel you are buying into some type of tradition (even if the tradition is only on paper).
