Default Looking For Amazing Results On Silver Metallic Pai

HELLO,

I am new to this site and unsure what products to use on silver metallic paint.

I am gteeing a 2008 Shelby GT500KR finished in Silver Metallic paint and need advise on what to use to achieve a super wet extremely high gloss finish.

I was considering using the following:

1) Zaino Z2 Pro 1st step
2) Jeffs Werkstatt Acrylic Jett Sealant 2nd step
3) Pinnacle sig series II wax 3rd step
4) Zaino Z8 finish spary 4th step.

any and all help would be greatly apprieciated, as I am used to having dark colored cars, mainly black.

What are you using to polish prior to applying LSP?

Preparation work is more important than the LSP. If your car is not properly polished, then you won't get the look you are looking for. That being said, I really like Ultima Paint Guard Plus with Danase Wet Glaze. This combo really makes metallic silvers pop like crazy and will leave a very glossy and super wet look.

You really dont need to make two threads about the same thing. As I said in your other thread, and as dsms and detaildoc are saying here, preparation is more important then your LSP. You should be focusing on that first.

If we were to outline everything you need to get, proper technique, etc., etc., it would be several hundred pages. You have to research this stuff, its just way too much to explain.

Prepping the paint is removing debris, polishing out imperfections, etc. The paint should be free of imperfections prior to applying the LSP. None of us can recommend anything to you without seeing the car.

All you need is a wax, it really isnt necessary to be topping the paint with several different things. Especially if it isnt your DD and its going to be garaged.

You may want to find a detailer local to you to assist and possibly teach you some things. Some things are easier to show than to explain. For example paint polishing is something you need to practice and I WOULD NOT practice on that car.

Start reading this:

A Guide to Dual Action Polishing

Also search youtube for video's on things like polishing, claying, washing techniques etc.. Hell maybe pick up CleanDean's dvd. Search this forum and search others like Autopia for all the info you can obtain. There is no substitute for knowledge.

No, Ultima and Danase Wet Glaze are LSP's. The prep work includes polishing by machine such as with the Flex, UDM/PC or rotary with a polish such as Menzerna.

wash car
clay car
wash car
dry
get a flex3041 or buffer of choice
menzerna super intensive polish
polish with a orange pad
buff off with micorfiber
menzerna final polish with blue pad
buff off with micorfiber
z2 pro with zfx or your favorite sealant
buff off with micorfiber
z2 pro with zfx or your favorite sealant
buff off with micorfiber
apply your favorite carnauba

honestly, this is your dream car right? I would think you will be maintaining it pretty well. So, I would just get a nice wax or sealant and apply it every month or so.
