Default Newbie needs help please!

I washed my Crossfire yesterday by the book
1) Two bucket method with sheepskin and Meguiar's Gold Class Shampoo
2) Dried with some nice WW
3) Put coats of KAIO and SG by the book.
4) Had nice mirror surface but with spots.
I could actually feel these spots on the surface.

I tried removing the spots with Dawn detergent but no dice. I didn't know (might still not) if its a hard water problem or a Klasse SG. I tried removing the spots as I saw on another forum by spritzing the surface with a 4:1 Water/SG mist but no effect. By this time I had some very fine scatches into the surface of the hood (buffing it too hard to remove spots). What a horrible feeling. I got up this morning and tried one last idea before Claying. I had some swissvax cleaner/wax prep and I tried it. Spots went away!!! I followed with a coat of Klasse AIO for protection.

Does anyone know what happened here? I want to put a sealer over the AIO but I am never going to SG again. Any ideas on a quality safe sealant that I won't have these issues with? Help please!! Oh yeah and I have a few fine scratches on my hood. Any methods have to be by hand.

Lessee...

After you washed, you should have clayed then washed or wiped down with a QDer. KAIO and KSG shouldn't be applied by the book. The Wipe-On-Wipe-Off (WOWO) method worked the best for me.

Don't be discouraged by the KSG. If you apply it by WOWO method, you'll get the nice thin coat that's best for multiple layers and bulletproof protection. My KAIO + KSG combo lasted almost 12 months with washings followed by a QD (and sometimes a nuba) at least once a month.

Top KSG with a 'nuba for more depth and warmth.
