Default QD effect on waxes...

Say I waxed my car last weekend, and I wash it again this weekend and give it a QD after drying. How will this affect the wax on the vehicle? When it rains, will the beading be due to the QD since it's sprayed on top of the wax, or will that be the wax beading?

The reason I ask is that I had waxed my wife's Explorer with Wet Obsession last week, and washed it a few days ago and finished it off with Last Touch. When it rained the next day, the beading wasn't as good as I had expected.

Thoughts?

I would be surprised if it wasnt the QD that was creating the beading effects......

That is EXACTLY what my fear was. I need a QD after washing and drying a car to make it perfect, but then it affects the beading of my wax.

Short of putting on a new layer of wax, what can I do? Becuase the beading of Last Touch isn't exactly as good as the Wet Obsession, even though it looks fantastic.

Come on Piet... got with Aqua Wax!!!!!

Or the new Optimum Spray Wax w/polycharger is good stuff.

Better yet mix them 50/50 for an even better effect

I have AW, have had it for a while. But wouldn't that be the same issue? Wouldn't then be AW doing the beading, not the wax?

You just need a QD that beads nice. I would try Z8...

Oh ok I gotcha.... nvrmind. Last Touch, from what I read offers little if no protection at all! It would burn off in a day from the texas heat. ust last touch to do ur final wipe down and then wait a day to do the test

Last Touch:
Meguiar's Last Touch Spray Detailer produces incredible depth, shine and gloss. This spray-on, wipe-off product has a unique blend of polymeric lubricating agents that gently removes dust, fingerprints, smudges and other contaminants, leaving a flawless, showroom shine.

When I did my review on several quick detailers, I noticed that it acted really funky over my OCW. I couldn't quite figure out what was happening.
