Spit shining is a technique that's been around for awhile and a slow process. Basicly, it's a way of layering cleaner wax's and such gently as to not remove the previous layer or mute it with multiple layer's of any nuba. The cold water or QD is to congeal the wax being applied meaning it stay's hard rather than soft.

I believe how it works is AFTER you have applied the first coat of Nuba, You mist the area with water and then apply a second coat to the area, working the applicator pad until the moisture is gone. Then buff off. You can probably find this on DW somewhere.

I think this may be a typo - you cannot layer (spit shine) 'Cleaner' type waxes
