I have 2 friends who use to have Duramaids...and they did not like them...had pump problems..heater problems...leaks around the hose input and had to replace switches alot...Now I heard they redesigned the unit ..now if its better I do not know.....

I just bought a Mytee HP60 and am very happy SO far....more money but a work horse so far...I talked to Grouse on chemicals and got what he recommended and have been very happy...

Ive never used a duramaid, but we use our MYTEE pretty much and it has help up well for as old as it is. The tips can/will clog but a welding tip cleaner makes it easy to keep clean.

I dont know how anyone could live without an extractor...
Fabric Clean and Lightning Fast are awesome with a hot water extractor btw.
