I only use an extractor approx 1x a week, but I have had pump problems with my DurrMaid. It is an older model, approx 5 yrs. old. I always used plain distilled water in the tank, no soap. I had some difficulty in reaching the manufacturer to get a part. The local repair shop wouldn't touch it because they could not get parts. After about 2 weeks of no extractor I ordered a Mytee Lite ll. Much better machine IMO and still very portable. I was finally able to get in touch with the manufacturer and received a replacement pump for the DurrMaid. Now it is reserved for the 1st pass on the grunge jobs.

Do a Better Business Bureau search and see what you come up with.

Hope this helps,
Dave

FMINUS, our mytee is a good 5-6 years old and on average I extract 4-5 cars a week with it. The cars it sees usually aren't the cleanest thing either...

I am still a novice and just picked up a little little green machine for 50 bucks. I was really going to purchase a true extractor but want to make sure I can get sufficient clients before I make the jump to spend over a $1000

I purchased the HP60 as well and I'm very pleased with it, I could not beleave how fast I could finish the carpets in the vehicles...I still need lots of practice to use it to it's full potential and I still need to get the appropriate chemical..I'm waiting for Chris to get me the chemicals but to be honest, what ever extractor you go with you'll enjoy having one, I for one can not beleave how much time the Mytee saves I love it and will never go back to the way I used to clean interior...lol...now I'm looking at the steamer I know, I know.....
