Default Backing plate on PC

Hey guys, I just got a PC and a 6" backing plate but i am having difficulties putting it on.. The back of the backing plate, the rubber part, does not really fit into the hole in the PC.. any suggestions? Thanks!

Are you referring to the rubber nub that covers the actual part that screws in? If so, twist that rubber thing off and that should solve the problem

yes! Thank you! Is there a technique for putting on the backing plate? The thing behind it spins as i try to screw it in.. Also, do you keep the circular plastic thing(between the black rubber and backplate) on when screwing it in? Sorry if its unclear

Take the wrench that came with it and hold the bolt behind the plate in place, then screw on the backing plate. Keep the washer there as well (the circular plastic thing). Thats about it for putting it on

Let me know if you need pics or something haha. I can go take some for you step by step
