I currently have the PC 7442 with the velcro backing plate. Im thinking of getting a rotary maybe one of the dewalt ones. Will the backing plate from my pc fit on a rotary or will i have to purchase one just for that particular machine? Also what are the recommend pad size for rotary use? i currently use the 5.5 pads with the pc cause they dont slow the machine down at all. With a rotary im thinking i could step up to a 6.5?. Thanks for any help

Rotary backplates are 5/8" x 11 and female. The BP's for a rotary and a PC are not interchangeable.
You could step up to a 6.5" pad for the rotary, or use an 8" pad, or use your 5.5" pads. It depends on the size of your rotary backplate and your personal preference.
