Basicly Power cords are rated at different Gauges. The higher the Gauge the smaller the cord, and the lower the gauge the thicker the cord is. The Thicker the cord is the more power it can transfer without losing its efficiency with length. I don't know what the wattage draw on the metabo is, so I can't help you choose which one would be most suitable for you though. You order them from walmart or sears, but Hardware stores like HomeDepot and Lowes would probably suit you better. I would also sugest an outdoor cord because the cover around it is thicker, so It will last you a longer time.

Hope this helps you in anyway, I'm not quite sure what information you are looking for.

I got my 12g from Sears. Don't start to know what size you would need in Norway. Do you use 240v there?

Thanks for the information guys. I think the metabo have 1300W.

Its 240v in Norway yes, but I have a transfomer. So I will use the cord between the transformer and the machine...

I would use 12 guage then. A little more expensive but the Metabo should never get hot with 12g. You can run longer lengths with 12g. Some will tell you that you can use 14g which is true but could get hot at longer lengths.

You should be fine with the 12 gauge, I use 12 Gauge 100ft cord for my 2000W speakers, and all my DJ equipment. I think it pulls around 10-20 amps, so you should be fine with 12.
