Engine Detailing Do you know how to properly detail an engine bay? Would you like to hear how others detail engine bays?

Car wash soap, or a citrus degreaser

Dress with tire foam or (if it's on sale) stoners more shine.

I use Detail King Green Degreaser and their Non-silicone Dressing. Works amazing, and it's economical. The Degreaser is only 12.95/gallon

In the past I have used Simple Green and Super Clean followed by CD-2. I just ordered some Meg's Super Degreaser so I'll probably try that followed by CD-2.

CD-2 is pretty much win-win for me.

For degreaser (i'm a firm believer this should only ever be done ONCE) I use a bio-degradeable full strength degreaser, spray entire engine (after covering all necessary parts), scrub with medium bristle brush,

Rinse with PW on medium pressure (about 1000 psi) moving back and forth quickly.

I dress (because I'm cheap) with Armor all tire foam!
