| Engine Detailing Do you know how to properly detail an engine bay? Would you like to hear how others detail engine bays? |

Hey everyone, i was wondering, what is better for detailing engines, or would you say it is better to have both? Also are either fine to put on to the hoses to clean them as well or should I use something different? Thanks in advance.

I think TAW is safer. But I also really like Amazing Roll Off.

Can't speak to TAW being fine on the hoses as well. I've only used Simple Green mixed 1:1 on my one and only engine detail I've done so far. MUCH too strong a dilution ratio. I rinsed with my pressure washer for longer than I would have liked, but it had to be done.
Like D&D, I too really like Amazing Roll Off. Its ability to take crap that you can't even see off of tires is exceptional. Honestly, I think it really depends on how dirty the engine & bay are and how well you're able to agitate the cleaning solution. TAW and ARO are two products that I think everyone should have in their arsenal. Since Deep Auto Gloss Salon liked SC GR so much, I decided to pick some of that up as well. |

I like TAW over Grime reaper, they both work very well.
I use Bleche White instead of ARO, much cheaper.

Thanks guys looks like I will be picking up some TAW, Bleche White, and 303 for the engine! Also will be able to use some on interior and tires as well.
eyezack87 - I noticed that as well, also I only live about an hour from them and have a friend in the area ![]() |
