Detailing Bliss Monthly Detail Competition

The purpose of this Monthly Detail Competition is for members to show off their detailing skills. The competition is open to all Detailing Bliss members.

Now how or who will pick the winner I really had to scratch my head on this and I originally though of letting the members choose a winner using the rating feature (the golden stars) but then what happens if there are two or three people that end up with the five golden stars? Then what? So what I’m going to do is have the DB Certified Dealers and DB Representatives be the judges, I still wanted to let the public have a say what I’ll do is I will contact a member via PM and get his/her vote as well.

Now the competition is about detailing, this includes all parts of the vehicle engine, interior, exterior, wheel wells, rims, exhaust pipes. Well I think you guys see where I’m going with this. So what ever you detail may be submitted to win, I encourage a whole care detail but like I said all type of detailing goes.

Now for the rules:

This is something I have to stress no editing of the pictures, what I mean is that there are many programs to alter/edit an image, no editing or alterations are allowed. Now adding a border, or a fading affect around the edges is one thing but adjusting the contrast to improve the image is not allowed (if you are unclear as to what I’m referring to please feel free to ask).

1. No pro detailers may enter this competition, all DB Certified Dealers and DB Representatives may not enter. Now to clarify a pro detailers is a person who earns his living from detailing (that about clears up who is a pro detailer, if this is not clear please feel free to ask and I’d be more then happy to explain it further).
2. A full write up identifying what products/process was utilized must be entered along with pictures.
3. Before and after pictures are a must and if at all possible at the same angle and lighting, I stress out the part at all possible. In addition, you don’t need to be a professional photographer to enter but it would help if you try to keep the pictures focused and sharp as best as possible.
4. All pictures must be entered during the entry post, you will not be allowed to edit your post and add pictures at a later date. All sections that you have detailed must be entered (tires, rims, wheel wells, interior, exterior ect).
5. You may enter once per month, multiple entries will not be permitted and will be deleted.
6. Winners from the previous months must wait 3 months before they may compete again. Example, if you are the winner of the month of January you may not enter again until April.
7. If you enter the competition and fail to follow these rules you will be disqualified and may potentially be banned from entering the competition again.
8. Once a winner is announced the decision is final.
9. All entries must be entered by the end of each month.
10. Each entry must include the month on the title of the thread.

Well those are the rules, now if there are any questions or concerns feel free to ask. In addition, it does not matter what vehicle you choose to enter any vehicle will do winners will not be chosen based on vehicle, instead based on skills and results. The winner will be announced every month and will be contacted via PM for details.

As far as prizes go, no one will know what the price will be but I will say this the prizes will not disappoint.
