I got a phone from a customer yesterday, he had bought a daily beater, and wanted it polised.
The car is a Opel Vectra V6, it hasen`t been polished for a long time. The paint was cloudy, full of swirls and some other defects. My job was mainly to clear the paint, and get some of the swirls out. His wish was just to get it a bit nicer, and smack on some wax. I started to wash the car with CG CWG and some aro in the bucket. Rims and tires go CG premium blue, it worked great on both rims and tires. The dirt was running nice. It was -2 C this morning, so had to get the car fast in to the garage. There I started to clay with riccardo clay and Dp 4-1 as lube. Dried it with the CG miracle dryer. So took readings with my pro gauge. The hood, front fenders and passanger doors was repainted. Really tick paint there. The rest showed around 120-130. I tried a test spot on the hood with orange low pro 5.5 pad, and menzerna 106FF with the flex VRG. This worked amazing, so I picked it for my combo. I did the whole car with this. Then I went over with CG EZ glaze, all paint and windows. I really like this product, gives the car a extra depth and wetness. LSP was DP maxwax because this was a metallic car, and I really like this wax for metallic. I applyed the wax with my bare hands, I really like to do this. I prefere bare hands front of applicator. I switch on it, sometimes I use applicator to ![]() Oh, and I used the flex rotary today. Its a great machine, about the same as the metabo. Going to buy one soon. ![]() On trim I used Optimum protecant.
