Thanks guys! I used the 4" CCS pads yesterday on the wifes Hummer and I am very impressed. I felt like I had so much more control and awareness from the smaller pads compared to the 6 1/2" CCS pads. Heck, they were even easier to clean. I can tell they have more bite to them vs. the larger pad.

That's why most of us here detail only with 5 to 6inch pads. I personally like the control that the smaller pads offer...as you just found out

Damn I was going to order the Wheel Brush tonight... oh well. I guess I'll have to wait, buy my EZ Detail Brush and PBW Spray and Rinse are on the way.

It really depends on the type of machine you're using. With rotaries, you'll have less bite with smaller pads but more bite with the DA.
