Default 2008 North American Int'l Auto Show lotsa Pics!

My son and I went to the Detroit North American International Auto Show (NAIAS).

This was a great chance to view the OEMs’ latest vehicle innovations; and this year, the overriding trend was “going green” – a marked change from previous years where automakers focused more on the traditional bells and whistles of new products. One highlight for me was walking through the show and seeing several OEM customers present technologies representing tremendous opportunities for the company I work for. Volkswagen and Mercedes, for example, had highly visible displays promoting clean diesel. Both exhibits featured diesel aftertreatment innovations with selective catalytic reduction (SCR) being prominent. Both automakers plan to sell more diesel vehicles with this technology in North America, and I was happy to see OEMs publicize clean diesel on a consumer-level.

One thing I noticed was the poor shape the majority of the pain work was in. I had yet to even say anything when my son said “Dad, look at all the swirls” - I about died laughing, keep in mind he’s 8 years old…lol

Any how on to the pics(I suck at taking pics), you’ll notice I conserved my picture taking for primarily concept vehicles…

Enjoy...

Sweet vehicles some of those concept vehicles look wicked...man that R8 V12 is going to be a kick ass vehicle rumor has it that Audi is actually working on the design of it but don't hold me to that just what I've been told.

Man the pictures looked great Motor, no complaint here my friend...but ya know...you could have taken more pictures of those ferrari's hahahaha just teasing that Scuderia looks wicked.

Thanks for sharing and your sons comment says it all Motor man can you imagine if they would let us loose on those vehicles...oooooh that would be fun...I got dibs on the Ferrari's and the Audis

Geez, loving the R8! Im thinking about dumping the plans for the F430 and getting an R34 AND and R35 instead. Or maybe the R8?

I also want to see if they come out with an RS5 before I pull the trigger. The F430 is already in its midlife!

But but but...they are so sexy! R35 is going to be a rocket. Everyday, the R8 is probably the best car, but F430's look and sound awesome. haha with a list if cars like that, you can't lose!

I've been chatting with a person who's going to be receiving his R8 come this summer (June or so) well that is if all goes according to plan....anywho he's getting the V8 and is on the waiting list of the V10 as well...I have never seen the R8 in person but I'm looking forward to seeing it on person but going to the exotic shop this weekend and seeing my dream Ferrari and it's sexy curves and interior made me want the Ferrari even more....but till I pull the triger I'm keeping my options open, I look forward to seeing the R8 in person...thing is the R8 is based on the Gallardo, I've seen teh Gallardo in person and actually sat on it as well..mmm...I don't know I'm really curious about the R8 see how it campares...when I say compare I mean visually compare hahahahaha.
