Default eShine now using UPS

eShine will start shipping UPS starting Monday. UPOS should be more residential friendy and make it easier for customers to receive their packages.

I wasn't having a problem with Canpar, but as long as I still get my products, it's okay with me.

Will there be any change in shipping times or shipping rates?

The ship time should be the same and the shipping prices should stay close. Here are the reasons we sent Canpar as to why we closed the account.

1. 99% of our shipments are residential. We are having a lot of RTS after
only two delivery attempts. This creates unhappy customers which we can only
agree with them that a residential delivery should have three attempts and
an option to be held at depot. Several customer have arranged to have
packages held at depot and after driving to the depot find the package is
sent back to us anyway.

2. Currently Canpar is unreliable for international shipments. Over 50% of
international shipments get lost/damaged. We would like to use a carrier
that does not change internationally such as Canpar handing off to FedEx,
this way when there is a problem there is only one company to deal with.

3. Canpars rates to the east coast is significantly higher than other
couriers, we have been shipping these packages over the last two years with
another courier and would like to be able to deal with only one courier for
all packages.

4. Our new courier has integration with our ecommerce site. We are now able
to simply click 20-30 orders and with one button all labels automatically
get created, this saves us 1-2 hours per day.

5. Our Canpar address book filled up long ago, it should have an unlimited
size as we have thousands of customers. This is forcing us to manually enter repeat customers info.

6. Canpars tracking system can be improved. I can't count how many times
customers do not receive tracking or their tracking does not work.

I know when I ordered from Rightlook once, and only once, they charged me $45 for brokerage, USPS was 8 dollars. I haven't ordered from Rightlook since, not that I need to anymore.

We are speaking to UPS about this. We ship very little to the USA (5 packages/week) so it would be no problem to just use Canada Post/USPS for USA orders.

I have ordered from Chris before and never had a brokerage fee....but was shipped mail...not a delivery compamy like UPS....

If Chris only gets a few orders a week from the US then like he said he can ship CanPak...
