Default hey nica

if you are just trying to get users, one way to boost the number is too make it the only way you can see the forums is if you sign in. people will register accounts because they want the info being posted. all the forums i ve ever run the second i do that, the registered users jumped by 4 or 5 hundred then consistently increased. (it made me money by having sponsors pay because of all the traffic coming through my forum)

just a suggestion, plus when the people have to register they can post, sometimes people want to post something but dont feel like registering, so they dont make the contributions to the forum

I always like to say, "Redneck and high tech!!!" Not really sure how this fits it, but just wanted to say it!

hmmm... I see what you mean, didn't really think of it that way. Now the other way of looking at it is that if guests cant see or read what the forum is about then that may work against the forum, that and it could give the wrong idea. What I mean is that some individuals like to look around here and there to get a feel for the site, when they see what it's about then they join. Well I tend to see it more of the way that it's best to let people make there mind up by them selves not pressure them on joining, now don't get me wrong it's not that I dont want the forum to grow but I'm going about another way to get the forum to grow.

I've invested quite a bit of money on advertising online and so far the company doin all the advertising is doing quite well, there is a constant amount of traffic flow to the forum and registration is increasing every day.

But I see your point, I'll keep this suggestion and I'll chat with a few friends of mine to get there take on this. Thank you for the suggestion, very much appreciated

ive run some pretty big halo forums. (about 10 thousand members) and it has worked to get the users number up and it is usually good for the forum because the people that already registered to get into the site dont have to register again to post something.

man i hate school lol

While it might work for a well known brand like Halo which is about as mainstream as a videogame can get its going to be counter productive for detailing which has a wide range of variables and differing levels of understanding.

That sounds interesting : have an x amount of number that you can view then you have to register, not a bad idea.

Thank you for the suggestion
