Yup I agree, if you get to close to it just reflects back at you and can't really see anything well depending on the colour of the vehicle that is..black just absobes the light and you can literally see all imperfections with the 3M Sun Gun.

To think I was actually going to cancel the order when I ordered my 3M Sun Gun

Maybe you need to use your 3M Sun Gun in order to read it? I had too!

I keep seeing the Sun Gun popping up in threads, where is evryone getting theirs?

While I was finishing up Christmas shopping I ran across a Brinkman hand held light that was like mega brite. Could that be similar?

Nice order Grouse! That much stuff would last me a year.

Well to be honest it's really hard to compare the Brinkman to the 3M Sun Gun oh actually I got some pictures were I was comparing the 3M Sun Gun here take a look:

See the difference?

Well the 3M Sun Gun is used to match paint, paint shops use it all the time and it's also used to see imperfections after a paint job, my friend Gerry has some of these at his shop and it saves them from taking the vehicle outside for final inspection.

It's not cheap at all but well worth it, oh the only draw back about it is that the battery drains quite fast. I'm contstantly charging the battery and to get a spare battery is not cheap either
