Default Camcorders

Well the wife has been bugging me to purhcase a camcorder, I don't mind purchasing one as it can come in handy when detailing

So if you guys have any tips I'd love to hear them out.

Here is a camara I've been doing some reading on:

Sony HDR-HC1 HDV

This one looks sick, wicked features on it but perhaps not one that the wife would like to pull out during special events hahahaha:

here is some info about it:
Sony Announces High Definition 1080i HDR-FX1; First 3 CCD HDV Camcorder - News, Guides and Tips

This one looks quite nice:

Here is some info on it:
Vanns.com: Sony HDRSR5 High Definition Hard Drive Camcorder (HDR-SR5) Features

Well I'm still doing some reading up on them so if any of you have any suggestions, tips, or recomend a camcorder please share

LOL where is the usual Carlos detailing spirit. If these were polishers or depth gauges you would have all 3 of them

I think that you should bring the family to Vistek and get them to go through all the models and see what your needs and wants are. They are pros at what they do, and surprisingly they aren't pushy.

True...but I still want good quality out of the camcorder...most of the time quality comes at a price...but I think I should let the wife pick the size...seeing as it's her requesting it

Say what what is Vistek? What is it? Where is it?

Oh and beleave me I like the first one, so many bells and wistles but I don't really need all that stuff but I'm very interested on quality..I've been doing some reading on these HD camcorders and it "sounds" impresive but till I see it I don't beleave it.

Vistek is a camera shop downtown ish. Digital Cameras Photo Video Camera Digital SLR - Vistek Camera Store - Toronto, Calgary Canada
The have/know everything. Sometimes their prices are a tad higher than other places...but they give better service, so it is hard to say. They even have these weekend classes to teach you to use all of the stuff you buy from them. I think there is a small fee though.

EDIT : $25
