Can we stay on topic? You might want to start a new thread about lights in Off-Topic

Yes, I was told that as well. At work there is a guy who's a hard core photographer, I mean the guy has about 2 or 3 different kinds of cameras and about 11 or 12 lenses...and he does it as hoby as well any who, he was telling me that you can go with Cannon, since that's the type of camera I went with but himself he likes going third party becuase he says you get the same quality with out paying the big ca$hola.

I also have a friend who's got his own studio and takes pictures for a living and he ony uses Cannon and Nikon and swears by them. As for lenses he sticks to Cannon, Nikon and Sigma. He dosen't have as many Sigma but he recomended it.

Both of these guys said the following and I found it interesting, buying a Cannon, Nikon, Sigma..ect..ect..lens or camera is just like buying a brand name vehicle. It's like purhcasing a Lexus Vs BMW or Ferrari Vs Lambo type of thing. Apperently all the pro's use nothing but Cannon or Nikon and that these two brands bring an image attached to the price tag. It alsmost sounds like Zymol Vs Swissvax to me but I honestly don't know, I just wanted a good lens and from all the reviews/comparisons I read the Sigma seems like a good lense I'm sure as I learn and progress through my new hoby I'll learn a few things but that's just what I've been told.

One thing about these lenses Cannon, Sigma, ect..ect.. is that it feels sturdy, makes the XTi look aggresive..hahaha almost looks like I know what I'm doing hahahahaha if people only new

Well thanks for the feed back, I enjoy feed back so if you got more by all means I'd love to read it
