Default Black Hole and QD +

Thanks cwcad, very generous of you.

If you are a carnuaba guy these are two very nice products and I would say a must have. The glaze is very nice on darl colors and had good hiding capabilities for "minor" swirls and really left the paint very reflactive and leaves a beautiful finish. It was grayish purple and had a grape odor, it almost reminded me of DWG or EZ C and I am guessing it may be a reformulation of or even a blend which is not a bad thing since I thought both of those glazes were excellent as well. Similar to both of them it went on very nice and also was very easy to remove using a mf towel providing you worked it in well. I aplied it with qa mf app and removed it with a mf towel. I also topped with Concorso which made it really look awesome, very clear and reflective.

I also tried the QD+ whick was actually thr same color and fragrance. Alomost looked like a watered down BH. It required a little more work than a straight QD but seemed to leave a real nice finish and actually add additional gloss to the finish similar to the BH which made it worth it.

So, if you are a carnuaba Guy, and own a dark car give them a try.

Interesting review, thanks for sharing. Just seen them arrive at a UK trader and was contemplating the Black Hole to try alongside my other glazes.

How would you say it compares with my personal favourite, Meguiars #7?

David...BH is much easier to use than #7. As you know one of the best ways to remove #7 was to "skin" it on several passes around the car. BH is much easier to use and looks just as good.

I have all 3 of these products.

Good Alternatives are:

CG EZ Creme
CG Pro Detailer w Carnauba

I have problems with streaking w the QD, take warning I am the master of streaking...

Are you using a MF app for the Glaze? Sounds like you are not working it long enough.

What towel are you using for the QD? I am using AG's big blue plush towel and it works great. You also need to watch how you are washing your towels, no fabric softener etc...

I could see the QD+ being a little more prone to streaking since it contains product but I have had no issues to date. It also says it can be used in the sun which I will believe when I see it but will have to give it a try.

I really don't recommend using any product in the sun but will say that I did use Revive and BW in the sun once when I was in a pinch and could not find shade and it did work to my amazement. That is probably the only quality I did like about the Revive and BW.

Cool thanks for that.

#7 I do use a lot, it isn't always the easiest to remove but I've never had loads of problems: use two mfs, one to remove the majority by continually varying the wipe direction to break the skin up, and then a second clean one to buff.

An easier to use product would be good though, BH will be trialled by me soon
